Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

This policy explains what handwritingpracticesheet.com collects, what it does not collect, and what choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

The short version

The worksheet generator runs entirely inside your browser. Text you type into it, including a child's name, is never transmitted to us and is never stored on our servers. We do not have accounts, we do not ask for an email address, and you do not need to identify yourself to use anything on this site.

What the generator does with what you type

Nothing leaves your device. The worksheet is drawn by code running in your browser, and the PDF is assembled there too. There is no upload step and no server that receives your text. If you close the tab, that content is gone.

Your generator settings, such as your preferred size and ruling, are saved in your browser's local storage so a returning visitor does not have to set them again. That data stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and can be cleared at any time by clearing site data in your browser. It contains settings only, never worksheet text.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This site uses them in three ways:

  • Essential storage. Your theme choice and generator settings, held in local storage rather than cookies. No tracking value.
  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets a small number of first-party cookies, named _ga and similar. They hold a randomly generated identifier so that one person visiting twice is counted as one person rather than two. They do not hold your name, your email address, or anything you type into the generator.
  • Advertising cookies, described below, set by third parties rather than by us.

Third-party advertising, including Google

We intend to display advertising on this site to keep it free. When advertising is active, the following applies.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies includes theDoubleClick DART cookie, which enables it to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visitingwww.aboutads.info/choices.
  • Third-party ad servers or ad networks may use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in the advertisements that appear on this site. They receive your IP address when this occurs. We do not control these technologies and this policy does not cover the practices of those third parties.

Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before personalised advertising cookies are set, through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can accept, refuse, or change your choices at any time using the privacy link in the site footer. Refusing personalised advertising does not restrict your access to any part of this site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, measured in aggregate. This tells us that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, which site referred it, and whether a visit is a return. It does not tell us who you are, and it is never combined with anything you type into the generator, because what you type never reaches us at all.

Google Analytics sets the first-party cookies described above and processes the visit on Google's servers. Google describes what it does with that data inHow Google uses information from sites that use our services.

You can stop it entirely. Google publishes anAnalytics opt-out browser add-on, and any content blocker will also prevent it from loading. Nothing on this site depends on analytics, so blocking it costs you no functionality: the generator, the preview, printing and the PDF all work exactly the same.

Who this site is for

This site is directed at adults: parents, homeschool educators, classroom teachers and occupational therapists who print practice material for children. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Children use the printed paper, not this website.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will act on it. In practice the generator collects nothing at all, so there is nothing for us to hold.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information or operate accounts, there is normally no personal data for us to access, correct, export or erase. If you contact us by email, we hold that message so we can reply to it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top of the page will change. Advertising is not currently active on this site; the advertising section above describes what will apply when it is.
