Typeface
Bricolage Grotesque by Mathieu Triay, used for the site interface. Licensed under theSIL Open Font License 1.1. Self-hosted. The licence text and the copyright line are infonts-src/ in our repository.
The system monospace stack is used for measurements. Nothing is downloaded for it.
Worksheet fonts
The generator offers these handwriting families as an alternative to our own letterforms. Every one is licensed under theSIL Open Font License 1.1, and the licence text ships in fonts-src/ in our repository alongside the original font files. Family names are used unchanged, as the licence requires.

We convert each family's outlines to vector paths at build time, scaled so that the x-height measured from its own x lands exactly on the midline of our ruling. That is ordinary use of a font to set text and turn it into outlines. It also means a printed worksheet embeds no font at all, and that the guides line up with the letters, which is not true of generators that position their ruling from line spacing.
Letterforms
The default letterforms on the worksheets are our own original work. They are drawn as vector paths rather than set in a font, and no commercial handwriting font, curriculum material or worksheet was copied or traced to produce them. They are the only option that can show stroke order, because we drew each one in the order it is written.
Stroke order and letter formation are matters of long-established penmanship convention rather than anyone's property. Our descriptions of them are written in our own words, cross-checked against multiple independent education and occupational therapy sources.

Research sources
Line formats, letter sizing conventions, stroke sequences, teaching orders and occupational therapy guidance are drawn from published education department documents, occupational therapy references, the National Handwriting Association, and documented ruled-paper standards. Individual sources are cited on the pages where their claims are used.
Where a figure is a commercial convention rather than a published standard, we label it as a convention. Where sources genuinely disagree, we say so instead of picking one silently.
